Lisa

Lisa Bedwell

Lisa joined Oxford Science Enterprises as Senior Communications Manager in September 2020. Prior to this she was Communications Manager for Medicines Discovery Catapult, responsible for translating complex science into simple but compelling stories, championing innovative technologies and new approaches to reshape drug discovery. Lisa has nearly 10 years’ experience working within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. This includes supporting US-based start-up biotechs, entrepreneurs and innovators to define their offering; producing professional and creative communications to attract investment. Lisa holds a BSc in Psychology and an MSc focused on Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience from Durham University. Here, Lisa tells our story – promoting our enterprises, the ground-breaking technologies, people and companies that create them.

Nick

Nick Dixon-Clegg

Nick joined Oxford Science Enterprises as a Principal in July 2020, bringing a decade of experience across investing and corporate finance. Prior to this, he was a Principal at Valiance, a MedTech-focused venture capital firm. He was previously an investor at large cap buyout private equity firm, Nordic Capital. Prior to that he was an investment banker at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. He holds a Triple First Class MA (Cantab) in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge.

Chandra

Dr Chandra Ramanujan

Dr Chandra Sekar Ramanujan is a Principal Licensing and Ventures manager at OUI. He manages a portfolio of projects from the Materials, Engineering Science and Chemistry Departments that have an intersection with the Life Sciences.

Recently he has led spinout projects including Oxford Brain Diagnostics, Hexrand Oxford HighQ.

Prior to joining OUI, Chandra was the Senior NTT Bionanoscience Research Fellow at Oxford University, working in with Nippon Telephone and Telegraph Basic Research Laboratories in Japan on research which generated papers and patents in biotechnology and atomic force microscopy. Chandra previously worked in the electronics sector leading teams of engineers, technicians and production operators in projects spanning Industrial R&D, Product Engineering and Manufacturing in the electronics sector. Chandra did his DPhil in the Oxford Materials Department with Professor Sir John Pethica. He also has a Masters in Materials Science and Engineering and a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
